New database: Canada lovers love E-STAT!

This database is Statistics Canada's interactive warehouse of statistics about Canada. It includes such publications such as Canadian Social Trends, Health Reports, Human Activity and the Environment, Juristat and many others. There are over 2,400 tables tracking trends in virtually every aspect of the lives of Canadians. Please note that E-STAT does not work with JHU's remote access tools.

Database(s) of the Week: EIU databases

The Economist Intelligence Unit databases include EIU Country Reports, EIU Country Profiles, EIU RiskWire and Economist Intelligence Unit Data Services. These are excellent sources for country-specific data and analysis.

Economist Intelligence Unit Country Profiles and Quarterly Reports
Annual profiles and shorter quarterly reports offer concise analysis and background information on the economic and political situations of over 180 countries. There are over 130 separate reports and most include five-year statistical tables of historical data.

EIU Country Data
A comprehensive database of economic indicators and forecasts, covering more than 320 economic series for 150 countries, as well as 45 regional aggregates, running from 1980 and forecasting ahead five years.

EIU Market Indicators and Forecasts
A database of economic, demographic, consumption, and industry data on 60 major countries, back to 1990 and forecasting ahead five years.

EIU City Data
A global database of product prices and business costs providing over 330 price levels on more than 160 products and services in 123+ cities worldwide from 1990 to the present.

All include options for converting data to Excel or bar chart form.
